Hello everyone, Chongqing is a hole!! don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!! It's our fault that we ended up here in the first place. We came here to see the Three Gorges Dam, China's biggest engineering project since the construction of the Great Wall, only to find out when we arrived here that the dam was 446 k/m downstream, only a days travel in the wrong direction... note to self, must do more research before going somewhere! So we book into a hotel, first impressions aren't bad, the staff seem friendly.. very friendly in fact... jesus, we've booked to stay in a w**** house!! I should have seen the signs, a packet of condoms on the telly when we arrive doesn't say good food and clean rooms to me! But the give away was when we were in bed just about to go to sleep after another mamoth train ride at 12:30 only to hear a knock at the door and 2 girls walk in offering us special massages. As you can see by the photo we had a bit of fun with them (not that kind of fun!!) that's angus and tony using the phrase book to tell the girls that it's their first time! Needless to say we got the hell out of there in the morning, thanking the hotel staff for their hospitality as we went. Yet another train ride ahead of us, only 15 hours this one, not to bad! Off to Xi'an next (don't worry i've done some research on this stop) to see the Army of Terracotta Worriors and then who knows. Hope to hear from you all soon, Christopher.
