Hey guys, As you probably know, i've had a load of problems with these s***e computers in china so i'm writing this post card about 2 weeks after leaving beijing, so i'll write what i can remember. After nearly missing the train from Ulaan Baatar to beijing after being so drunk i nearly slept in! if it wasn't for this english guy who was going with me to beijing i would have missed the train and would be in mongolia for another couple of days. saying good bye to the fellas tony and angus, leaving them in mongolia because they were going to south korea to teach, i was on my way back to china. 30 hours feeling like s***e on the train. i arrived in beijing with gary (the english guy who was nice enough to wake me up for the train), and for the first day did nothing due to feeling preety bad after the train ride. i was sharing a room with 2 dutch girls who were staying in beijing for over 2 weeks and so didn't feel rushed to do anything so i spent alot of the time just taking it easy with the girls and gary. we went to see chairman mao, and yes he looks as dead as he did 30 years ago. the only other thing i did was visit the summer palace with the girls and gary and it was really nice. very beautiful. the next couple of days and nights consisted of drinking (lots!!) and just doing nothing but eating ice creams and watching films. so next on the list is shanghai. speak soon. christopher
