A late breakfast today before jumping in a taxi and heading to Vancouvers beautiful Staney Park. It covers around 404 hectares or 1000 acres. It is like a green oasis in the middle of the city.You see it all, mountains, the city, old trees, beach, city views, yachts as well as cultural and historical landmarks. Last day in Hawaii saw Rex, Mark, Louise and Derek take a helicopter fly over the Island. They all came home grinning.....an fantastic experience that they all enjoyed. Doc and I traveled by trolley car to the biggest shopping centre we have ever seen. All the brand names you can think of plus some. Price were fantastic compared to what we pay in Australia and if you had the space you could shop up a storm. We bought a little but not too much. A swim was in order...

We finally arrived in Vancouver after a day of flying and sitting around airports at around 1am in the morning. Traveled in style to our hotel via stretch limousine...yes...cheaper than 3 taxis when you are transporting 8 people. The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel is beautiful. An early start today. 6.30 on the bus to head to Pearl Harbour. A wonderful happy man called Nappy was our tour guide for the day. We arrived at the harbour around 8.30am. Security is a big issue as it is still an operating military base. No bags of any description are allowed through the gates, so we traveled light.
