After arriving from our motorbike ride we got shown to our room, at the fortune hotel FYI, they upgraded us for our honeymoon, the room was beautiful! Gorgeous old French building with high ceiling and ornate cornices, polished black wood furniture and a king sized bed. just beautiful highly recommend this one! We then ventured into town, had a really early dinner for us, 6pm! At a restaurant close by- we both caved and had western food, it was fantastic! Nice to have a little break from the local food. We then had a walk around town, it's a very beautiful place unlike anywhere else in Vietnam that we have seen so far. It's built around a lake in the mountains, beautiful French style architecture, very fancy hotels (some with golf courses) and lots of landscaped gardens. We had a quick look around, saw the town markets, chaos as usual but a bit different with lots of knitted clothes, haven't seen that anywhere but is a few degrees cooler here! The next morning we didn't have long, we went for a walk around the lake and through some nice gardens. Got a bus to Saigon, organised t through the hotel they were so helpful and even let me print off heaps of paperwork for my rental property for free just before getting picked up by the bus. We got a night bus (even tho it was a 5 hour bus trip) was worth the extra $1 to have the bed space! Was a long bus ride and lots of traffic!
