We took an overnight bus down from Bangkok to Ao Nang in Krabi where we spent 3nights at a lush hotel, Princeville. It was just across from the beach but we spent all day everyday in the hotels swimming pool and jacuzzi! It was really nice to have a little bit of luxury after 2 weeks in Myanmar and its only our 2nd beach in four months of travels!

In the evening we went out for dinner and hit a couple of bars, its pretty relaxed here compared to Ko Tao so there wasn't any big nights, its mainly families and couples. I didn't really like the town at night, Its a bit like Spain to be honest. Average restaurants serving pizza to families and screaming children! On our last night we did find a gorgeous restaurant serving excellent wine overlooking the beach at sunset, away from the town and the hassel of suit-sellers. They are everywhere!

All in all it was nice to have a little break from backpacking and a bit of pampering even if it was just for a few days! Tuesday morning we got a bus to Penang in Malaysia.
