My Family Travels
I didn't die. That’s how we started our conversations with our parents today. That’s because most of us went para sailing this morning! None of us have done it before. Oh, was it worth it! That was such an amazing opportunity. I’m a little bummed that we didn’t bring our cameras. No one is going to believe us that 4 elementary school teachers went para sailing. I thought that it would be rough and a little uncomfortable, but it was the total opposite. We just floated up in the sky and it seemed like we were just sitting still high above the water with an awesome view of the bridge! Next time I am definitely bringing my camera. After that we continued down to Frankenmuth, MI. Frankenmuth is New Ulm, a little Midwest town who thinks it is in Germany. And we got there just in time for the Bavarian festival parade! That was definitely entertaining. There were 3 types of participants in the parade: princesses, bands, and random dance party floats. Drunken dance party floats. After watching the parade for a while, we decided to eat. That restaurant was very yummy. Maybe it was cause we were so hungry, or maybe it really was that good. We wandered around during the festival. Watched the glockenspiel. Danced the polka and chicken dance. And then decided that we were going to Bronner’s. Bronner’s is a HUGE Christmas store. Super huge. I don’t know how long we wandered, but I went from being super tired to probably giggly over tired. We did find some cute ornaments though for Christmas, which is 194 days away (so the store told us). We then drove to Nass' apartment. Here we made spaghetti and garlic bread! Sometimes it's just so nice to have a made meal instead of always going out. Now it's brownies and a movie! A great ending to a great day!
