My Family Travels
So I didn't lie for the title of my first entry. On the first day we went the farthest in miles - 544 miles. Today we went the longest in hours - 10 hours! That is a lot of time in the car. The scenery was beautiful in the mountains and along the river valley. It is nice that the view is different each time we have a long day of driving. Since we were in the car for the entire day, not much actually happened. Here are 2 things that are of note.
Is there smoke in the air? While we are driving in Idaho, Paul's dad is reminiscing of when he was fighting fires in this area. While we were driving this morning there was smoke in the air from nearby wildfires! We didn't see any fire, but we did see and smell the smoke for quite sometime.
For dinner tonight we went to a restaurant named Jakers. It was very good again! We pre-celebrated Paul's birthday tonight with a cinnamon roll sundae. It was a great change from the usual hot fudge sundae.
Tomorrow we start again in the national parks- Grand Tetons and Yellowstone for the next 3 days. Get ready for some great pictures!
