We left Houston after our windy night and got on the road to New Orleans. I've made good progress so were in the hotel by 3.30 in what felt like even worse heat. We made the most of the facilities so did our laundry, I enjoyed a cold shower and then walked into the French quarters for a meal.
I ordered a traditional style po-boy sandwich but the service was terrible and the food was cold and just crap to be honest. So to get over our disappointment we headed to Bourbun Street to enjoy a few drinks. This involved sneaking into a few bars and clubs avoiding security asking for ID. We listened to live music, people watched on the balconies and then walked back at a good time to make the most of our beds!
