This morning I met one of my many room mates, Steve. We were both in the same boat so decided to explore Chicago together. I purchased a CityPass which allowed me to go to loads of attractions and save money doing so.
First stop was Sears tower, this gave us a brilliant view of both Chicago and Lake Michigan and the sky ledge was a bit of a thrill.
The two of us then went in search of the Cloud Gate, which is a big shinny object in the middle of Chicago, also known as the Bean. Once we got there we took some more photos and explored Millennium Park stopping at little attractions along the way to Navy Pear.
I suggested to Steve that we go on a lake tour but it was so expensive we just decided to take a water taxi back towards where we started. This was great as it was cheap and it wasn't too long, but we can now say we've been on Lake Michigan.
The water taxi stopped just outside the Shedd Aquarium so as our City Pass included it we thought why not. We both really enjoyed having a look around, it was the first time I've been in an aquarium in a long time and glad we made the stop. We also watched an aquatic show which was very impressive! Finally we were ushered out by the staff and decided to go back and cook food and relax.
