Well we had quite a day in New Orleans yesterday. Went on the Swamp & Bayou tour to see the gators...and really saw them. So beautiful and peaceful in the bayou with it's hanging Spanish moss from the cypress trees and beautiful oaks, palms and all types of vegetation. The gators like marshmallows and hot dogs...so much fun! We came back from that tour had a muffuletta for lunch ( a huge Italian like sandwich, one of the specialties here) and onion soup, banana bread pudding for dessert...yummy! Then we took a steamboat ride up the mighty Mississippi. Started pouring, but my wonderful Pete was prepared with ponchos. The rain stopped soon enough and we steamed along with live Dixieland music playing...this is the life. We returned to Trixie about 5:30, showered, and believe it or not Pete made spaghetti on the barbeque. It was delicious. Today we are traveling to Waldo, Florida and have been on the road for about 4 hours with 41/2 hours to go. We stopped at a Waffle House for breakfast, wish we had these in Cali. I'm just eating myself crazy across these United States. Planning to visit relatives in Florida so will get back to you all ASAP. No need for stilettos yet
