Charly's Travel Journal
Today I took a proper trip around Sydney Harbour. First I went on a tour of the Opera House and learnt about the history of the house. After this, the Harbour's other big attraction-the bridge. I decided not to spend the $200+ and the 4 hours on the bridge climb, but rather climbed up through one of the four pylons and got equally as good a view almost 100x cheaper. As it was a Saturday The Rocks (the posh trendy part of the harbour) had it's market on so I browsed round there, which had lovely artsy crafty things and a band playing, and corn-on-the-cob,and chocloate dipped strawberries (bet you can't guess what I had for my lunch...!!) and after a relaxing early afternoon I caught the ferry across to the island of Manly to do some more relaxing, this time on the beach.
I forgot to mention earlier that whilst on the tour I managed to get a very reduced ticket price for the ballet (Giselle) that evening,so on returning from Manly I again made my way to the Opera House and watched a fantastic production by the Sydney Ballet Company.
Lots of Love xxxxxxx
