After being in seaside towns for a while it's a change to be back in a city again,but there's lots more going on. Last night I wandered into the city and had a look around the square all lit up at night,and I found a lovely church on the edge of the square and arrived just in time for the 6.30 service which was really nice. After the service I headed back to the hostel as Brisbane is apparently not as safe as other places at night so I didnt fancy being there on my own,but I met 2 germans and 2 texans at the hostel also travelling down the coast and spent the evening talking...

Wow!I could do this for more than 3 days no problem. The boat is simple,but lovely,with lots of room to lie out on deck in the sun, and the Whitsundays are beautiful (as is the weather-we were lucky.apparently we've got perfect weather for this,which they've not seen for about a month!) This evening I arrived in Airlie Beach. It's a pretty small town,with one main street and then a small beach,a lagoon and a marina. It is apparently generally used just as a starting point for tours around the Whitsunday Islands,which is exactly what I plan to do tomorrow!
