Today before breakfast we could hear the strange noises that sounded to me like a guinea hen but it is really the kid on a bike delivering bread for the bakery. You just have to stand at your front door and he will deliver the bread to you. We ate breakfast and then we had morning worship.During worship we discussed how when we worship we are practicing for the day we will enter Heaven. In heaven that is what we will "all" be doing.Doug and Alanda will not have to preach, Jerry will not have to count money neither will there be any committee meetings for us to attend. We will all just worship the Lord our God. Hallelujah!!!Our morning teaching was on how to see others need through the eyes of God.The entire 613 Laws of Moses boil down to the scripture in Mark 12:28-31 28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" 29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." What it all boils down to is we sin against God and our neighbors by not loving them as we should. The key to loving everyone is to try to comprehend the grace and mercy God has for us.We also talked about God The Father and what is a perfect parent. God is the perfect parent. He does not expect us to be perfect parents, He just expects us to know who to turn to when we are not perfect and to teach this to our children. After lunch we had a team meeting to discuss the logistics of our LISS that begins in Juiz de Fora tomorrow. We will pack the bus tomorrow morning and the have an early lunch and leave for Juiz de Fora hopefully by 11:00.We want to arrive at the church in time to pray for the church. They say we are staying in a really nice hotel. If you look at the pictures on the blog you can see Emma's room here at the mission. After or team meeting we ventured out to the local market to get some personal snacks and drinks. There were many school children on the street and they all had on the same t-shirt depending on what grade they were in.The bakery still had a swarm of honey bees feasting on the sugar of the pastries (We saw the bees last year too). They had an open air barber shop that was giving haircuts as we passed. There was even a bar between the schools playground and soccer stadium. The people on the street were very friendly - some of them even picked on me and wanted me to take some pictures of them. When we returned to the mission we spent the rest of the afternoon ironing and preparing for tomorrow. After supper we had a time of worship and prayer that was totally awesome. We prayed with and for each other for more than one and a half hours. Elizabeth Hamm played he guitar and sang a song and she had such a powerful and beautiful voice.Afterwards we all had a snack (the ones we purchased earlier) and then most everyone went to bed @ 9:00 to rest for tomorrow.I have been listening to the Pentecostal church down the hill and they are still worshipping at 10:00 at night - they started about 7:30
Well I am off to the shower and to bed.If we have internet access in Juiz de Fora I will update the blog over the weekend. If not I will do so on Monday night.Thank you for all of your prayers and fasting. In Christ's Abundant love, Bobby.
