I must first apologize for two incorrect things in my blog. First I said it was Mary Lucy in the pictures at the nursing home - it was Mary Lucy's mother.Secondly, Livia does have a translator in Estonia where they speak a dialect of Russian. (I guess she will soon know 4 languages as Livia is very intelligent). If anyone - other than Harry - notices any other mistakes I will be glad to correct them.
Sunday was a great day of worship as have all of our days here been.I am saddened as today our ministries as a team together have ended. We will still see each other on occasions through Aldersgate Renewal Ministries. I am sure we will see Elizabeth in the mission news as she works for YWAM - Youth With A Mission. She has been telling of the bold missions they are involved with. Parker has a heart for international ministries in Russia.Bill & Sue Flathau and Harry -along with his wonderful wife Margie - we will see at Aldersgate this summer. And I am sure I will be blessed with seeing Pam at other LISS weekends in the states - we have served in North Carolina together before. And I pray that we will have continued contact with Steve and Betty from Rick Bonfim Ministries.
We have bonded well as a team.We have cut up with each other, shared laughter, joy, tears. We were blessed with having extravagant worship together. We worshipped with our brothers and sisters in Christ in a foreign land. But, most importantly we have been obedient to Christ. We have been to Judea, Samaria… - Acts 1:8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."We have experience love being poured on us as a waterfall. We are loved by our church.I will always remember the little girl at Grays Chapel who leaned forward to stretch out her arms so she could touch both Virginia and I as the children prayed for us. We have loved each other. We have been loved by the Rick Bonfim Ministries team. We have been blessed with being able to share the love of Christ with and to be loved by hundreds (Maybe even thousands - that preachers count thing again) of brothers and sisters from Brazil.I remember Peter, who was the young boy who was so energetic in Rio Bonito during worship one evening.Almost two years ago Emma had prayed with his father for his healing from a lengthy illness. He was healed by their prayers. I pray that as we prepare to leave this country that we have blessed many young Peter's with our presence and that the Holy Spirit has come to Brazil in an even more powerful way and that the Church here will never be the same.
I thank everyone who has supported us in every way.I thank you for the financial support. We were able to bring medical supplies to the mission, help feed the hungry, support the local churches and support international missions.I want to thank you for all of your fasting and prayers. There were days when we were exhausted but we were sustained by your love and prayers. I am reminded of you in Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. But, most of all I want to thank you for helping each one of us to be the hands and feet of Christ to a broken world.I love you, bobby.
