We left Brisbane on Thursday and are now in Mooloolaba. Before we left Brisbane we went round to Tom's girlfriends house for a meal. It was reaaly nice to have home cooked food and be able to sit and relax rather than having to fight for a hob in the backpacker kitchens. We are in Brisbane now. We met up with Tom (Dom's cousin) yesterday and he took us round a few pubs. We are going round his girlfriends house tomorrow for a sunday roast so we are both looking forward to that. We are going to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo tomorrow as well so it should be a good day. We have finally got good weather, its not hot but still nice at about 23-24 degrees. We arrived in Surfers Paradise a few days ago, its a place where there are loads of theme parks and the best nightlife in Queensland. The beach is massive and there are loads of surfers because the waves are pretty good. We went to Movieworld on Friday which is a bit like MGM studios in America. We have been travelling up the coast for a few days now, its nice to get out of the city for a bit. We drove up to Port Macquarie on Thurs and stayed in a hostel for a couple of nights. There were some really nice beaches but its still too cold to sunbathe or go in the sea. We went inland to The Great Dividing Range to see a couple of national parks. The past couple of days have been a bit of a blur. We have been out drinking around Kings Cross in Sydney. The hostel organised a night out on Thurs and got us some free drinks in the bars we went in so that was good to get to know people in the hostel.
