Hobbiton!!!

As the perfect end to my New Zealand I decided to visit the home of bilbo, frodo and all their hobbit friends! What bettet way to end my trip?!

It did not disappoint. The two hour tour was led by tobias who funnily enough looked a bit like a hobbit. As soon as we were through the gate I looked left then right; hobbit holes everywhere!!! Tobias explained a bit about how they were used in filming and the different techniques used by Peter Jackson. All very interesting stuff but I just wanted to explore! So I lagged behind and got lots of cool pictures! We were allowed in a few but the insides are bare and don't go in very far. The inside of the holes is down in Wellington in weta studios.

At the end of our tour we were taken to see bag end of course and then for a drink in the green dragon! I chose a cider. It was so surreal to be walking around a town of hobbit holes and sitting in the green dragon! But it was the best way to end my time in New Zealand. Soon I will be flying into Melbourne to start my Aussie adventure. Bring on the sun, sand and surf!
