Truman Presidential Library and Museum was much more than I expected given it was dedicated in 1957. Contrary to its age, this museum was well maintained and properly presidential. In the upper floor was the main exhibit that focused on his political life primarily. It went briefly through his young years, love life, military, affiliations with stong political figures, congress, vice presidency, and finally his turbulent presidential years. The depth in this exhibit came in the form of the political and military actions that took place during his presidency. The exhibit was full of detail and description but was very engaging and presented is several different manners (movies, TV, bill boards, curated momentos, etc). The lower level of the museum houses thousands of mementos from his childhood until his death including several cars. This collection was expansive and thorough. On the lower level the girls got to make a personalized campaign button which excited even Michael!
