At the Wintersun Van Park, very small and cramped sites but who do we meet but the Sommervailles from Goolwa parked next to the M's. Have caught up with all the washing and cleaning. Here we are in Alice Springs. Had a free camp last night. Freezing cold 3 degrees. After Uluru we went to Kings Canyon. A very long way to go out of our way but It was very nice. Sunset was disappointing. The ladies had G&T to celebrate. We did the short walk into the canyon, very nice. Found a beautiful pond. Visited the Rock at sunrise this morning. Had to crawl out of bed at 6.00am freezing cold. Hundreds and hundreds at the viewing area. Left Cobber Pedy after a Mitchell Tour to the Serbian Underground church. It was fabulous. Well worth the visit. I was even able to go into it. Beautiful carvings and stained glass windows. Drove for 2 days to get here to Yulara. Had a free camp at Agnes Creek last night. no phone reception. Getting to like the free camps. Mr B road train spotting.
