At a free camp 20km from Katherine. Left Dundee after 4 fantastic days. Dundee is 100km west of Darwin on the coast. All volcanic soil. The blocks are 1, 5 and 10 acres. All scrub so you see very few houses from the red earth roads. Probably like Goolwa 30 years ago but red earth not sand. We had Lots of rest. Lots of fishing. Met all the NT friends of Dave & Brenna. Katherine Gorge is another stunning gorge, we did the boat tripand portaged to see two gorges the three gorge tour was fully booked. Manbullo Station is fabulous we are parked under huge mahogany trees river nearby with rapids,fish to be seen but not caught. The adopted family from Darwin spent sometime with us , it was lovely to see them. Have noticed the horizon has disappeared, no more seeing for miles, lots of trees & shrubby things. Did a few hot springs yesterday. Mr B wants one at home. Saw Barra feeding one was 1.2 metres. Today at Manbulllo Station, lovely trees and grassy site. Went to Nitmiluk near Edith Falls then a massive shop to keep us going for ther next 3 days.
