Feeling the heat! After Daly Waters we went to Douglas Daly Region and stayed on the Daly River. Visited Butterfly Gorgeand spent 34kn round trip for nothing did not see one butterfly. Moved on to Kakadu. We had very high expectations about this place. Have left Doc and jenny Smallacombe at Banka Banka, they are heading south. We headed north to Daly waters pub. Looking for barra Burger or like. Mr B is sick of meat he tells me. Left Broome, heading south, 80 mile beach is just that a long and beautiful beach and fabulous. lots and Lots of shells. Mrs M saw lots of baby turtles swimming in the shallows. Heard sharks lurking in the trough. Was a little windy so no swimming. Have had a ball collectting them. Mr B slept on the back of th e truck while I did a wander. We all needed a rest after the frenetic pace of Broome, trying to see all the sights.

Katherine Gorge is another stunning gorge, we did the boat tripand portaged to see two gorges the three gorge tour was fully booked. Manbullo Station is fabulous we are parked under huge mahogany trees river nearby with rapids,fish to be seen but not caught. The adopted family from Darwin spent sometime with us , it was lovely to see them.
