Ft Lauderdale to visit the Nugent's. What a treat to see some family again. And what an even bigger treat to do our washing and have a comfy bed! After complaining about how badly we're sleeping because of our current $3 pillows, Ron whipped out his spare feather Ralph Lauren & Calvin Klein pillows and very kindly gave them to us….so we are now camping with RL & CK feather pillows - so happy!

Soon after we arrived, a friend of the Nugent's offered to take us on their boat through the intercostals of Ft Lauderdale - such a great way to see Ft Lauderdale. The Nugent's have it all sorted with a beautiful house very close to the beach - Ft Lauderdale is so chilled, just a great place to live. After the boat trip, we had a great braai at home, consuming about 10 bottles of wine!! It's such a small world we live in, it turns out their friend "Bunny" whose boat we went on, went to the same high school as Boo…St Mary's (JHB).

Day 2 in FT L was spent lazing on the beach. Had a quiet 2nd night, early to bed, and were on the road by 10am the next morning, headed for the Florida Keys. Next stop - Long Key State Park. Thank you to the Nugents for a great stay and a chance to recharge those batteries! (Literally & figuratively…)
