Hi, it’s Ryan and it’s was awesome in Zion National Park. We went on a hike through the Narrows. The Narrows are a narrow canyon with a flowing river in it. We had to get water shoes and the guy at the store said it was going to be a 30% chance of rain and we thought that wasn’t a lot. But that’s a lot. We hiked through the water and had lunch at the half way mark when we turned around. After the Narrows we went to a hike to a desert oasis called Emerald pond. At the beginning it was hot and there was no shade but by the pond it became shady for the hike back.
After the 2 hikes we went back to the campground and played in the river behind our site. Later we went out to dinner and it started to rain, hard. With thunder, lightning, and heavy rain we ran to our site there was a guy who ran in front of us and started to knock on our camper door. He asked/yelled if we were evacuating. Mom and Dad looked at the river and told us to get inside. As they packed me and Danny stood inside, finally we pulled out and found a new site. The river raised 3 feet in 2 hours.
