We arrived on Koh Phi Phi with the sun beeming down. It was manic the second we stepped off the boat, people everywhere, but still a great atmosphere. We had nowhere to stay so went in hunt for a place on the beach called Stoned. We trekked with all our backpacks, sweating like you wouldn't believe all across the beach full of sunbathing people. I felt most people had that kind of 'so glad that's not me' look, it wasn't ideal. We finally reached the hostel only to be told it was fully booked...fab! We dumped our bags and went in search for one. Sam and I found one called 'Apache Beach House' which looked half decent. We all booked into a 12 bedded dorm. It was very basic but at this point I didn't care. We left our stuff and went off in search of food. We had an Indian which was much needed as I fancied something a bit different. After we did a bit of shopping and had a look around the streets. They were bizarre really, they were just so narrow and windy, always full of rain water as it was coming to the end of the rain season, they had people walking, on bikes and pushing massive carts that would not stop so would literally just mo anything down in its path. In addition, you had Thai ladies calling you in for massages and all sorts of weird things. So there was a lot to deal with on these roads! We went for dinner at a place called Breakers which was just like an American diner, the burgers were goood! After, Sam did a 2 story beer funnel which was pretty impressive as it went on forever. I'm the worlds slowest drinker anyway and thought I might choke so decided against it. We then headed to a ridiculously loud bar on the beach front called Slinky's which was absolutely buzzing full of people dancing. At the front of the bar there was a Limbo pole which we all had a go at. I'm rubbish at the limbo but the other girls were pretty good. From there we went onto another bar called 4Play and then onto Ibiza bar. The beach had about 5 main bars along the front with different music playing at each one. The music at each bar was so loud that you couldn't hear anything else while you were in and around that area. I felt like they turned it up so loud to try and compete with all the other bars, it was just mental, but such a great atmosphere! First in Koh Phi Phi was amazing!
