I woke up still buzzing from the night before! A few of the people we'd met yesterday came and sat on my bed and tried to persuade me to go on the hostel tour as everyone from the hostel was going. I was still very much hungover and tired but you only live once right?! I had been persuaded so I worked on Masa and Sarah who were reluctant but eventually gave in too!
There was about 28 of us on the tour all from the hostel, it was a great way to meet people. The first stop on the tour was a Munk temple which had stunning views of the mountains surrounding it! Next, we drove to a beach where we all chilled, snorkelled and played a bit of volly ball. The sun was still shining so it was prime opportunity for us to top up our tans ready for Full Moon the following day. After, we all piled back into the taxis and headed to the next place for lunch. The restaurant was in the most beautiful location. The place was called 'secret beach', and it seemed to be more of a holiday resort kind of vibe which was perfect for us three! The restaurant was surrounded by hammocks, sand and sea, the most gorgeous views wherever you looked. We had a Pad Thai lunch and chilled for a bit while we let our food go down. Then, onto the serious stuff, jumping into the clear blue water from a small cliff edge! It was probably only a 5 meter jump but it was amazing fun! I think pretty much everyone had a go! Once we had all had enough, we headed to the next stop, my favourite - Wipeout! This was an obstacle adventure water park like the programme on TV. Words cannot explain how much fun it was, the aim was to make it all the way round, but some of it was just impossible! There was one bit where there were three giant blow up red balls that you had to try run across to get to the next obstacle, apparently only 90 people had ever completed it in the entire time it had been open which made me feel much better! It started to ran quite heavily after a couple of hours so we gathered up the troops and headed to the final stop, Amsterdam Bar. It was a bar on top of a mountain with incredible views while people 'chilled out'! I managed to trip and rip my clothes on the way up which was highly embarrasing! We were starving by this point so grabbed some chips and onion rings to take away, but only ended up holding up the entire group as the food took so long to come. We then scoffed our faces the whole walk down so that we wouldn't have to share them in the taxi with anyone!
We returned back to the hostel and got ready for another BBQ but at the hotel across the road where we used the pool. It was nice but not as good or cheap, and there was no mash! I managed to eat an entire chilli thinking it was a red pepper and literally couldn't breathe! I had to down coconut milk from behind the bar whilst thrashing around causing a scene! We played more flip cup as a massive group, and then headed along the beach to find another bar. We had a couple of cocktails then headed back.
Once everyone was feeling full and drunk, we all made our way to the Jungle Experience Party...In the jungle surprisingly! I managed to forget my ticket that I'd paid a fortune for so had to buy another one on the door! It wasn't even worth two tickets, it was quite a weird vibe, and not one any of us really enjoyed, but it was good to go out with everyone. We didnt want to burn ourselves out the night before Full Moon anyway so it was all good. We got a taxi back to the hostel at about 2 am that we shared with 3 absolutely horrendous English people, they were so aggressive and started shouting at the Thai people and pretty much everyone they came into contact with. I was glad to get back to the hostel!
