Now in Hastings by Napier, staying at B&B Hawthorn Lodge - with three other couples - owners are ex UK who spent some time first in Oz. The chap is very similar to Ian G in personality and in looks to Ian's friend. Amazing week-end of Art Deco events. Car rally of some 350 cars with 1920/1930's cars in pristine condition and also a large number of population dressed up in 20's and 30' s US garb. Off to see Parade at 12 and Peggy to buy the set of sandles she did not buy yesterday (she bought one pair but last night decided she wanted the other pair!). Went to Sileni Winery last night for dinner, wine was good and great value when I checked the bill this morning to see why it was such good value, I found that although we had a bottle of white and a bottle of red, we got charged for two glasses of white and 2 glasses of red! (Went by Taxi!).

Rog and Deana stuck south of Cairns in storms and most probably will have to drive back to Cairns and fly to Sydney!!

Very slow computer in B&B we are staying in, so photo's will have to wait till Christchurch.
