Arrived, as did the ship Queen Victoria, in Wellington early pm here Sunday. We checked into hotel and immediately went to the airport to drop of the rental car and meet and greet Emma and family. They arrived 10 minutes after we got there. It was such a rush I only got the Cam working after they actually had come thru. It must have been very strange to fly 27 hours around the world to a country you have never been before and be greeted on arrivals by your father!!

Kids were fine on flight. The taxi driver was a mine of information - he boasted about being an extra in Lord of the Rings. After we all got back to the hotel Peg and I went out for a breath of fresh air. We then had a pleasant room service meal in Emma and David's room and let them get some early shut eye before chasing up BA who had mislaid Tom's buggy.

We move on first thing tomorrow to Christchurch, so no time for really seeing Wellington and sorry not go to the Te Pape Museum.
