Cuba - More than old cars
Another lovely day - we have been really lucky. After doing some laundry (advantage of being in an apartment) we headed out to use up the remaining hours on our hop-on/hop-off tickets and see that part of the canal which had been closed yesterday.
After our trip we got off at the Rijksmuseum where we had again prebooked tickets but for any time during the day. Our time there was not long enough as the museum closed an hour earlier than we had been led to believe. We managed one and a bit of the 4 floors. After being kicked out we wandered through the museums outside garden which had sculptures and fountains throughout it. Then over to the artisan market. Would have liked to have made some purchases there but no room to carry them.
This was followed by a tram back to central and a search for another restaurant before going home to find out that Australia had thrashed Uruguay at the rugby - no surprise here. A reasonably early night was had as we were going to have to get up at 530 in the morning to go to Bruges for the day.

Gael Nice one!
Gael Geez. You wouldn't want a couple of drinks on board when trying to find your bike!
Gael This is possibly the best photo of your whole trip - if you're the arty-farty type!
Gael Really enjoying your blog, and looking forward to more verse and photos of Bruges. Enjoy!
richard and mary really loving the pictures keep up the good work for those left behind
Allison We are both loving the Blog and photos too... My friend Daina's inlaws are jetting around Europe too, so if you meet a Joy and Andy from Aussie... then say hi! It is a long weekend for us this weekend for Labour day, and today it was 34 degrees... Katie and Monika had their first swim in the pool this season! Love to you both...
Sarah Sorry really didn't get that last statue
