Day 40 I slept into 9am then wandered down to breakfast. I had already decided to have a restful day today after yesterdays marathon walk. A decision which was supported by the 36 degree heat. Outside the hotel. I sat at the desk in my room for two hours downloading and sorting photos from my still camera, sports cam, iphone and ipad. Loading them into the blog pages would take some time so I set them loading and headed down for a pasta and salad lunch in the resturant. After lunch I went through my notes and maps to write the text for each blog. My methodology had been to load the photos for each day first then use them to jog my memory on the days happenings. At 8pm I wandered down to the resturant for dinner and sat there slowly eating and publishing my blogs. I am now up to date and ready for the last three days of my holiday. Tomorrow I fly from Milan to Dubai. p.s. Two Chinese young men have just sat at the table next to me. With broken english they ordered spaghetti bolognese and spaghetti carbonara. When their meal arrived the look on their face was priceless. The entertainment has just begun as they do not know how to eat these extremely long noodles of spaghetti. On has resorted to picking up the plate and biting mouthfuls of spaghetti straight from the plate.
