Well, what was supposed to be a 3 day trip turned into one day. We left Roper Lake yesterday morning. Fully intending to stop for 2 nights somewhere.
What we did do was try to stop somewhere in Southern California for the night. Unfortunately it was still WAY too hot so we decided to move on. We were boondocking so we had no A/C. By the time we found somewhere to stop it was 3 am. It was just down the street. But we managed to sleep for about 3- 4 hours.
The neat things. Right after leaving Roper Lake, we found a homemade jerky store. They also had other stuff too but we bought jerky. Then we went through a city full of windmills in Palm Springs, CA. Because of the controversy about these windmills in New Mexico we stopped to see if we could hear them. We could not. And let me tell you there are a LOT!.
On the way into Lake Kaweah there are many orchards and nut farms. They also grow olives! I want to see what olives look like before they are pitted and soaked in vinegar.
Lake Kaweah is beautiful!! And we now have internet access in town too. So I'll be able to keep up with my blog and photo albums better.
Well, we still have the same house (trailer) it's just in a different state!.
