Red Rock Canyon - Las Vegas, Nevada

Yesterday was cleaning, RV repair, and shopping…and yes we did find time to make a deposit in Sam's Town Casino.

Today, we decided to see something more natural. We traveled to Red Rock Canyon, 15 minutes west of Las Vegas.

Red Rock Canon was a wonderful surprise. Just a few minutes west of Las Vegas we could see the colorful cliffs of the canyon. As we drove around the park we had wonderful views of the different geological formations. We saw bright red/orange buttes. People were rock climbing on them. You needed binoculars to see them. They climbed the shear face of the canyon walls. They were nuts! The park was a real pleasant surprise. It was very hot so we only stayed a few hours. On our ride back to town we drove along the Vegas Strip. It was bustling as usual.

In the evening we went to Sam's Town Casino again and made our deposits. The casino announced a new million dollar winner. It was not us!

As we walked back to our RV after dark the wind was blowing very hard. The moon was out and Vegas glittered.

It was beautiful!
