Williams, AZ to Albuquerque, New Mexico - 355 miles
90 Sunny
Day 102
We are off the Albuquerque, New Mexico today. We have started early to try and beat the late afternoon heat.We are still at 7300 feet above sea level. The altitude takes it's toll on how much you can physically do. Luckily we are not exerting ourselves too much as we travel. Old Blue does most of the work.
The scenery is very rocky and colorful. There are wild flowers on the roads here that look like small wild sunflowers. The flowers decorate the roadsides as we travel. As we get closer to Albuquerque the landscape became more arid. The mesas and rocky buttes are so majestic. The colorful mountains stretch from Gallup to Grants, New Mexico.
We arrived at our destination, Enchanted Trails RV Park, about 3:30pm. Enchanted Trails was a nice RV Park. The owners had a handsome Scottie called Winston. Winston greeted me rolling on his back for a belly scratch when I arrived for check-in.
It was hot, we were tired. After a walk with Abbie, we treated ourselves to pizza and a movie.
It was beautiful!
