August 20, 2010 Devon, Alberta to Shelby, Montana - 380 miles 70 & Smoky/Sunny Day 90 We bid farewell to Devon and headed south for Shelby, Montana and US Customs. The smoke was still thick in the air making our throats raw, and eyes burn. The visibility was poor. I cannot imagine a forest fire large enough for the smoke to come this far. We were told one fire in the Yukon Territory burned 1.7 million acres. Wow! We reached US Customs and sailed through....
