We got up this morning, James has ear ache and jaw ache. He's been suffering with it for a few days but it seems to have been getting worse. It needs sorting though, especially as we're going to be in the water a lot over the next few days. We get breakfast included at the place we're staying so went to sit outside, the guy from the place came to take our order we got omelette and coffee each. The coffee here is strange, it's really strong but I managed to spill mine all over my omelette, great start to the day!! Oh well, we got a bag together for the beach after a bit of sorting and headed off. Our first stop though was the clinic to try and get James' ear sorted. He was given ear drops antibiotics and pain killers, hopefully this will sort it out. After this we walked all the way down the beach, it was beautiful. We walked all the way back up and found a bar with cool seats to chill out in and stayed there until around 3.00pm. We then tried to walk a little further to find somewhere good to snorkel. We stopped at a place and put our things down, we had a snorkel, we saw a few fish but most of the reef seemed to be dead here. We got out, chilled for a bit then headed back to our room. We got showered and changed and went out for something to eat. We found a place where prices weren't so bad, after we'd eaten we went to find the night market they have here. It's a night food market so thought we'd have a look to see what sort of stuff they have and maybe we'll get something another night. The place was jammed full of tourists and not many local people apart from those who were selling. There was a guy who made pancakes so we decided to get one to share. He made it very differently though, he put a full cup of batter in a pan and put the lid on to let it steam like a cake. Once it was cooked he slid it out of the pan onto the side where the second person did the topping. We asked for chocolate and milk (condensed) he sprinkled chocolate vermicelli pieces on top then drizzled the milk, folded it in half then cut it into pieces. We sat and ate it, it wasn't a pancake in our sense of the word but it was really really good! We went back to our room and started to watch a film on our tablet when we heard the rain, it had started to throw it down, we'd timed that just right!
