Not wanting to miss out on any potential tours we could do from the little town of Isafjord we got up early, when really we would have liked to have slept in, & headed for the tourist information. The first thing that struck us was that the port industrial area we got out at seemed to be bigger than the town itself. It was kind of like our ship docking in Terang- not much to do for tourists & quite small. The tourist info had a few tours going but none of them really grabbed us so we wandered through the other parts of town- all in all only taking about 30 minutes. The only attraction was the maritime museum which wasn't much of an attraction to us. We stopped by the supermarket & were back on the ship by 11.30am having done as much wandering & exploring as we could. We enjoyed lunch on the ship, having been only slightly tempted by the Puffin pizza we saw advertised in town. They had a BBQ going on the back deck & the weather being clear and relatively warm we lay on some sun loungers & soaked up some Icelandic sun. About 2 pm we headed back into town to try out some Icelandic beers & a Cappuccino. The coffee wasn't bad & although a bit expensive at $9.50 a bottle the beers were pretty tasty. Really having done everything we could in Isafjord we headed back to the ship for another departure our of a beautiful fjord. Having had an early lunch we went to the restaurant for an early dinner then hung around until 9.30pm when they had 'A Perfect Couple' game show which questioned 3 couples about how well they knew each other. We saw about half of the show- which was pretty funny & then went to watch the movie 'Admission' which wasn't quite a comedic as we had thought but still an ok movie. We had a big day in the Icelandic capital the next day so it was straight to bed after.
