25th The guide and driver collect us at 9am and we are off to the fort. it is very foggy this morning and very cold, about 9 degrees. Not anywhere near as impressive as the Taj. 24th with our tour nearly over we are saving the best for last. The Taj Mahal. The drive from Jaipur to Agra is long, about 6 hours to do 220ks. It seems that as soon as we get within 20ks of the hotel in the city, these 20ks can take about an hour or more. The congestion is bad and slow going. 21st Our itinerary for today goes like this. After breakfast drive to Pushkar, en-route visit to Elkingi (Temple complex), Nagda (Group of Jain Temples), on arrival in Pushkar transfer to Hotel. 19th Well we have recovered from Sundays harrowing drive. Todays drive is one of a much slower pace. Heres the dumb part. The drive is along mainly 4 lane highway where nobody speeds, yet if it was a single lane road, everyone is going like a bat out of hell. Dont get it. 17th The Hotel Lalgarth Palace is pretty amazing. Made completely of yellow stone and wonderful carvings in the stone. The rooftop has nice views. Our room is small but comfortable.
