Brenton Kovacs's Travels
Our travel plans were turned upsdie down yesterday. Our flight from Singapore went smoothly, it was the next leg of the journey to New Delhi that went pear shaped.
We were denied boarding due to Visa issues. So there we were stuck in Kuala Lumpur with nowhere to go, nowhere to stay. I can tell you we were devastated!
With no other options, we grabbed the laptops, and started searching for options. Luckily the airport gave us 2 hours of internet for free. Mind you it was the slowest internet i have ever used since dial up days. This made things even more frustrating!
After weighing up all our options we decided to make other travel arrangements.
We booked a flight with Malaysia air to Dubai. Main problem fixed, as now we can keep moving forward. I was very re-leaved that we could at least get to Dubai. Not the ideal flight as it leaves at midnight on Monday and arrives at 3am Tuesday (a 7 hour flight), but at least we are there. One problem down and one to go, accommodation for 2 nights, plus we don't have any Malay money yet.
With accommodation found we then make our way to the city and on to our hotel. All this is taking its toll on our sanity and nerves.
Eight hours after landing we arrive at the Lanson Place Residence, not far from the Petronas Towers.Spent the next few hours with slightly faster internet checking to make sure the plans we made in haste are all good.
The hotel Alan chose is very nice and upmarket.Slept well considering our situation yesterday.
We are now enjoying breakfast, and planning what to do today and tomorrow.
Feeling a little more relaxed now. It's very hard to describe how we felt yesterday, I certainly don't wont that to happen ever again!
Our next blog will be from Dubai.

Adrya Did you climb the towers? yes you are certainly in Malaysia - Kular Lumpar - a bit of a dive but if the Indians won't let you in (not surprising) then you have to go about travelling and by pass India.
Adrya So pretty - all those lights. This is the towers still.
Adrya So sculptured - is that a whale in the middle of the pool?
