Wednesday 17th July- tried the Hop on/Hop off again - to Marble Arch - then walked across Hyde Park to Kensington Gardens. Passed a cute cottage -“ Magazine Cottage” then on to the Hyde Park lake. Over to Kensington Gardens - Albert’s Memorial, a beautiful flower walk ( where we saw the cutest squirrel) and - voila- Kensington Palace. Fabulously understated with a meadow garden - “ Diana’s Gates were a sad reminder of her death. Back in to Oxford street for lunch - bought a white linen dress - Lyn was seduced in to trying Vinevera - a magical skin treatment. We did purchase a few products - with the assurance we will look 10 years younger “in time” Taxi back to apartment- PO to send some clothes home - then a local pub for fish and chips
