Sunday 23rd June.

Lazy start to the day due to our past two days being full on touring.

So - washing to be done - and worked out how to cover ourselves during our Moroccan tour- new clothes may be needed!!!

Mid morning we walked up to Cezzane’s studio - he was early 60’s when he bought the property and purpose built the studio with north facing wall huge windows for the light. He painted Montagne Saint- Victoire ( many times) from a position just up the hill from the studio. Fascinating to see where he painted many of his works - although he has been known to say his best work was when he painted outdoors - nature in all its glory. He was born and died in Aix en Provence- and many attractions obviously mention him - you can follow Cezzane plaques in the footpath to see where he walked and painted. Did enjoy this visit. After such a long walk - we needed lunch - not much open on Sunday - but found yet another great restaurant - dessert was creme brûlée- they were yummy Brenda!!

Then lazy afternoon at apartment - cooking class tomorrow.
