Up early as our flight to Marseilles via Paris left at 6.30am no problems flying Air France - our connections working so well. Marseille to Aix en Provence was meant to be by train - but couldn’t find a station ( meant to be one at airport - no one could help us-) so we were extravagant and went the 40 kms by taxi. Our accommodation is studio apartment in an 18th century house which has been divided up in to apartments. Ours overlooks a garden courtyard. Very ancient but very quaint.
Checked out a small section of the town, absolutely gorgeous. Went to tourist info to plan our week here - and grocery shopping for the first time this hol. ( interesting experience) had a pile of washing to do - then a lazy evening as we were really tired
