Set off early for Mljet - as we were in the open sea - the boat was really rocking and rolling - few empty seats at breakfast.
Mljet is a National Park - with salt water lakes and trekking tracks. So off we trekked - walked for about 2 hours around the beautiful lake area. Many butterflies and beautiful flowers.
The island also has many archaeological sites ( as all these islands seem to have) - from way back in Illyrian times fortifications and tombs, Roman Palace, Benedictine Monastery.
Also had a great swimming area which we found just as we were leaving
