Our last day in Bergen was beautiful & temp climbed to 65, the warmest so far. We decided to take advantage of the temp & take the funicular (a rail & cable based train of 3 cars) that goes up a steep path to the top of the nearest mountain. Started the day by exploring a collection of buildings we can see from our room. It looked like it might be a tourist spot & is in as far as it was part of old Bergen from the early days that has been restored. It’s mostly shops & artist shops now & I found a couple of watercolor prints done by the shop owner. Dave asked her to sign them & she did! They will be cute framed in a set for our travel wall. Today was our travel day to Bergen via Express boat. It was actually 2 boats, as we had to change after two hrs & they hadn’t mentioned that! It was a neat boat, a hydrofoil, moving @ about 32 knots, which seemed pretty fast. Great leather seats & a snack bar onboard.
