We had a long day yesterday so planned a slow start today and spent the morning on the campsite with the children enthusiastically catching up with various projects until we had to eventually drag them away for a cycle into Gothenburg.... somehow christened Basingstoke-by-the-sea. This may have been a little unfair just because it had shops.... it certainly seemed a little nicer than Basingstoke but we were tired and very unenthusiastic with our exploring today.
We even stopped at Liseberg on the way back to the campsite with our reduced-price tickets but we didn't go on any rides - and nobody whined. We must be tired! But... we did manage to try the Wheel of Fortune and Megan won a big pack of Tutti Frutti - woo hoo - very exciting moment, we have been watching people win the massive chocolate bars. crisp bags or sweet packets for the last few days and were all very happy to get involved in Swedish summer!
Then back to Bob and then a fun evening on the campsite - enjoying the campsites being full again as we reach the summer months and lots of friends to be made on the playground.
I was slightly sad though when it got dark at 11, we have got used to the midnight sun and maybe even took it for granted... we will miss our lovely long evenings in a couple of weeks, even this little bit further South obviously makes a difference compared to Leksand.
