Day 4 was from Littleport to Kelvedon Hatch near Brentwood. It was a day of firsts, first time I'd taken my leg warmers off, first puncture, hardly surprising when you see some of the trails I've been on. First bridge on the route - see photo. I had to unload all the gear to push bike over. First time the garmin's let me down, just froze solid and left me without navigation and not knowing where I was going! Eventually found a camp site at Kelvedon Hatch.
Day 5 Couldn't sort the garmin so basically rode down the main road to Tilbury. Started raining heavily and eventually got ferry to Gravesend. Had enough battery life on phone and navigated to Sittingbourne. Booked into a nice guest house for a bit of luxury and got a Chinese takeaway. Managed to get on garmin website and problem sorted. Should make Dover and beyond tomorrow.

One amazing thing happened a few days ago. On my practice run to Whitby I caught a guy who was riding round the uk and believe it or not I caught him again! ! Chance in a million.
