Well, finally it has arrived and as promised by Mazda, it was worth waiting for. Zoom Zoom. The delivery of the All New BT-50 on Wednesday the 2nd November has made possible our first adventure. The skipper has insisted the first 1000k service be complete prior to the trip down to collect the shell. This will allow 2000k prior to towing the shell. This was voted sound advice by both Fr Kevin and the baby bro. The organisation of this feat required an extreme amount of planning by the navigator. Wheeling and dealing with both Mazda and leaseplan resulted in a loan of the legs prior to delivery, with trade plates and a trip to Airlie Beach. As you can see by the photo the clock had 32 kls upon commencement of this first trip. The navigator dutifully fulfilled the task of preparing the vehicle for the skipper to take delivery on Wednesday with approx 445kls. The skipper has now taken the legs to Moranbah until Tuesday, by which time the first 1000kls will be clocked and ready for the first service, booked for first thing Tuesday morning. On Tuesday the 8th after the legs having received it's first 1000k service we will head out with the skipper and navigator in tow to Gympie. The 9th and 10th November will secure the fitting of the hitch and brake controller and possiblly reversing cameras. Then on Friday the 11th we will take delivery of the long awaited shell. The panel has not made a final decision as to who will be the appointed driver on the day. Depending on the ease of turning, stopping and changing lanes we could end up in Perth or Darwin at this point. The scheds at this point are to spend Friday night in our new shell somewhere between Gympie and Mackay. Lake Aroonga 8 kls from Banaraby is the preferred location at this point for either Friday or Saturday night. After returning to Mackay the shell will be parked at daughter number 3 & 5's house to await the first weekend away at Airlie Beach on the 25th 26th November. The skipper is not pleased that the navigator has coincided this visit with a long awaited dental appointment. "Life's full of little pet pieves ain't it?"

Da Bro Sounds like a well constructed plan. The shell allows flexibility as home is where you stop. What freedom! As Mr T said "I love it when a plan comes together. Is a panel like a committee?
