Our second night of free camping was just beautiful. This little spot is in the highway just north of Gympie. We had our solar panels all setup and were able to be completely independent. Curried spaghetti left overs on toast cooked on the gas stove and the skipper loved it hehe. This place is surrounded by ponds filled with birds. We even had an owl come and visit that night. The torch supplied by the Cody's gave just enough mood lighting outside to still see the stars. Was really lovely. I gave to admit I was a little scared of being separated from my addiction to 240 vault power but this place was really something special . Another couple came over to chat. They are from Hobart and have been on the road 2 years and still loving it. On their second trip around Australia. Bob has been doing his good deeds for Nomads. The dump point at Rainbow Beach had been filled with undersized crab shells so he had to clean it out before we could empty the black water. Said he now knows how drop dump points are. He then had to scrub up like a Surgeon before we could get back on the road. People tell him he is a good boy and he loves it. We are taking the car in today to have the door repaired. Have checked into Gympie Caravan Park. Stay tuned.
