Left early, 7 am, to beat the hot,hot temperatures. Cool but warmed up quickly ....lots of hills....so many ups and downs. A logging area, clear cuts, reforested. Into the logging town of Raymond, with lots of metal sculptures, really unique! Had a good breakfast too. Leaving town went onto lovely bike path to South Bend, with tidal sloughs. Our final stop was out of the tiny "oyster" community of Bay Center. Bay Center, KOA, what a nice place. Quiet, pretty beach (clams for the raking) clean showers free and wifi and a phone!
Nice to have a shorter day to enjoy a rest time.
