Day 1- Abbotsford to Bay View State Park- 49.4 miles
George dropped me off at Fran,s. We biked to the border and were met by, George, Shan, Don, Herb, and Mo. What a nice send off. We took the back route to Bellingham, stopped at bike shop, having problem with my front tire, but seems with trailer on has to pack low and even. Through Bellingham, to WWUniversity had lunch. Then onto the suggested Interurban Trail- not good - not for touring bikes. Finally back on Chuckanut Drive and what a beautiful scenic ride. Stopped at Edison for coffee then onto a lovely flat ride to Bayview, then up into Park. Nice local near beach, but no groceries, so packaged food for dinner. Fine start to our trip. Lovely family park with beach, lovely views.

Rennie Glad to here from you and you had a great first day! This blog is neat because every time you make a new post it sends me an email notification! We did a measly 50km ride this morning, nothing compared to what you guys are doing! Did you get your bike sorted out with the trailer?
