Day 2 - Bay View St. Park to Port Townsend. 50.7 miles
From campsite fast ride onto Widbey Island. Deception Pass was challenging narrow roads, lots of traffic, but beautiful - walked across bridge, found a rare pay phone and called George. Up Island to Ault Field Road , onto West Beach and some very steep hills but it brought us to my cousin Joys - and a wonderful visit and much needed rest. She told us of great bike path off main highway, and directions to Keystone Ferry to our destination Port Townsend. Here we got fruit and veggies with dinner stuff then onto a hilly ride to our camp for night. fort Worden State Park. Really rustic hike/bike site and cold showers!
