After an early afternoon in downtown Limerick, we drove to The Adare Village, claimed to be one of the most beautiful towns in Ireland. Adare had quaint little parks with pathways, thatched roof shoppes, and a historic church. There was a teeny tiny man playing Irish jig music on an accordion. I told my brothers that I wasn't leaving until I had my picture taken with this real live leprechaun. He gladly posed and played a little tune while our picture was taken...

We are in limerick walking the town! Limerick is a really busy town much like center city but with less traffic more like boston. Lots of little shops. We drove in this morning from Galloway. Limerick is more of a young town lots of bars too. Patrick likes it here a lot. Everything is pricey, coffee was almost 3€ in a shop on the street. Stopped at the irish target 'dunnes' today to grab a jacket. It has been 60 since we got here. We burnt up all of our electronics and converters at the bnb this morning.. Patrick is doing much better on the road. It was a bit hairy there for a minute. We changed over all of the cash we had into euros in the jfk airport for a flat fee of $7. Thought that would be best. BnBs are all over the place. Such a strange concept letting strangers into your home.. Its about 50 50 with the roads. Highways and teeny tiny little windy back roads. Journal entry from Cliffs of Moher.We drove to see the Cliffs of Moher, in Claire County. It is the most popular site in the area. The cliffs rise above the water about 650 feet and we were able to catch them right at sunset. It was a pretty clear day, and the rocks in the cliffs were really colorful. Overall, we had a very productive first day in Ireland. Tomorrow morning we will enjoy the breakfast portion of our B&B and head out to Galloway.
