Today we left Rexburg and drove to Yellowstone National Park. We didn't have to wait long before we started to see wildlife.Within ten minutes of entering the park, we saw two bald eagles and their nest. We got up early and decided to get out of Utah as fast as we could.We made a quick stop by Cedar Breaks National Monument, which was basically a smaller version of Bryce Canyon, and had great views and a ton of wildflowers, and then headed north and took full advantage of Utah's generous speed limits. This morning we had a shorter drive to Zion National Park. We started out the visit with a short uphill hike to a view of the Zion Canyon. It was a fun rough trail, but we learned this is not what the rest of the park was like. After driving through two tunnels to get to the main section of the park there was nowhere to park. Today we left Moab to head to Bryce Canyon National Park. We drove through more desert through the San Rafael region.It was pretty but also pretty desolate. Near Bryce we checked in to Ruby's Inn, which is basically a compound near the park with everything you would need from a high end hotel to tent sites.
